Day Recap 1
Hey gang,
Today was a crazy one. A couple weeks ago, I got hired for a part-time gig at a coffee shop and today was day one of training. I chose to go above and beyond - asking many questions and doing all the tasks as efficiently as possible. Needless to say I did impress the owner. It was a good feeling.
After that, I had a frantic emergency meeting for an upcoming performance that I’m doing tech for. Apparently, the theatre that we’re renting is giving us too many headaches and we don’t really know why.
The problem is typically, as the tech operator, I solely program and operate the lights of the show (maybe the audio too depending on the severity of it) by myself. However, this theatre is trying to add their own staff. And with that has come many stringent rules on how I’m supposed to my job. 😆😭
It’s a pain and a mess to deal with, forcing me to replace some desired plans tomorrow for a tech walkthrough at the theatre. Very frustrating.
And as if the production wasn’t already stressful enough, we’re also now expecting numerous celebrities watching this show. And, from what it sounds like, they’re A-list actors & producers… so the pressure is real. On the positive side, this is a massive opportunity, and I’m excited to see how things will turn out for me… 👀
After the meeting, I reviewed Mica and I’s Christmas fundraiser’s progress. We have the concert bible, song choices, and set list. And we finally got a space - so now we’re going to be pumping out promotions.

And finally, I’m ending the night with this post. It was a good, busy day with a lot of mental gymnastics. Can’t wait what tomorrow will bring!
